California Motocross clip for Bloggingbrit

A little delayed as I have been either busy, lazy, or upset, here is a link I've been meaning to post since Bloggingbrit told me about that special he watched on that one extreme motocross guy. The video clip is interesting, and I just want to say that I have seen Jimmy Fitzpatrick perform some tricks in person, my sister thought he was cute. We saw him at Speedway a few years/seasons back. Here's the link, watch the video when you can, Bloggingbrit.

Baseball Thunder

There has been something stuck in my head today, all day. I thought I'd post it. It's a scene from the movie Twilight and it's when the Cullen's are playing baseball during the thunderstorm. I love the scene, I love the song. I can't help but dance to it in the car when I hear it. Plus might I add that Edward and Emmett are adorable in this scene, like when they chest bump and run into each other in midair and lightning bolts come out of them and they fall down laughing. Emmett is in the dark shirt and light baseball cap turned sideways, and Edward is in the button up striped baseball jersey (I only mention that because I'm not sure if Bloggingbrit knows who is who). Haha it's a great scene. Here's a clip to watch. Enjoy!!

Ad of the Decade

Following on from Dewi's post about funny commercials, we had a tv show here on Sunday called Ad of the Decade which was a top twenty list of ad's (advertisments, commercials) as voted for by viewers of the tv station that was airing the show, ITV.

The commercial that Dewi likes so much was in the top twenty, but only at number 19. It was one place ahead of the Budweiser whassup commercial, which was one of the few american ones that made the list.

The winning ad was for a company that makes bread, Hovis. It was filmed in Liverpool and depicts a boy buying a loaf of bread, and on the way home he witnesses important scenes of the last 120 years, which is how long the company has been making bread for.

I found a website here that has recreated the list and has links to the ad's, in case you want to see them.

My Edward and my Jacob

Interesting day today. I ended up going to play a little hockey today after work. I knew my Edward was there, he bought my sticker. But as I was walking to the door to step out onto the ice, I saw my Jacob right in front of me. "Ohhhhhh no," I thought to myself. I think I actually said "what the fuck?" to myself aloud. I knew this was going to be a fun 2 hours trapped on the ice with both boys. No doubt due to my intense interest in Twilight and New Moon lately I was having a lot of trouble keeping away from my Jacob while my Edward was there with me. But he was in the middle of a pickup half-ice and I didn't fit right in there... and Jacob was alone on the other end of the ice... So I went to Jacob.

He hadn't come to our game the other night when he said he would be there, so that gave me reason to talk to him and question him. He was being his usual unusual self. I took the puck from him a few times, tried to get him to pass with me or something but he likes working alone sort of. I tried to tell him about my goal, and when he told me he still wouldn't have scored it made me realize he's had a few assists and a lot of "almost" goals, but I don't think he has any more than I do. I wanted to straight up call him Jacob, or Jake. I know he would understand exactly what I was referring to. It was in fact him that got me into it in the first place.

I didn't really talk to him much after that. Edward had an eye out for him. And Jacob for Edward. But I must be honest that it really made my evening having Jacob there. I mean, I love Edward, but doing all this reading, and my previous posts have mentioned that right now I'm sort of living a life like Bella. I was talking to someone last night and they called me [Dewi]bell... Bloggingbrit knows my first name, so just add "bell" to the end of it. Being called that made me smile a little bit.

I've already decided I'm on my quest for my own Edward, my own Jacob. A mix of the two. I like Jacob's look, his strength, his happiness and his warmth. The warmth especially. I also love Edwards loving and nurturing personality. Both boys are protective, but the fact that Edward disappears and leaves and takes all remnants of his presence with him, that bothers me a lot. I would end up hurt and in pain exactly like Bella if he had done that to me, I wouldn't be able to deal with it. At least Jacob always comes back to apologize, and he keeps his promises to stay, and be her friend.

When I was stopping by the snack bar to say hello to a classmate I saw in there, Jacob was coming out the single door and I had to squeeze right by him. I didn't realize he was coming out until I was chest-to-chest with him in the door jamb. If I had seen him exiting beforehand I would have waited so I wouldn't run into him with Edward standing so close by.

During the drive home, I realized I was wearing my "lucky" necklace. So far every time I've worn it to the rink something ironic, or exciting, or just something that put a smile on my face for more than a brief second happened. Of course it is a Quileute, Jacob Black symbol, which I believe I'm leaning more towards in the first place.

I'm getting a little sad though, even though my life this past month has been like a Twilight and New Moon nightmare in a good way I guess, because I'm coming to the end of my New Moon book. I'm afraid to finish it because I won't be able to afford to buy the 3rd book, Eclipse, until Saturday at the earliest, unless I get a lot of cash for Christmas. I know I will definitely finish the book before then, and I want to finish the book, but I will have nothing to being on afterward. And reading these books is the only thing that is keeping me upbeat, and looking forward to things, anything, hoping to run across more coincidences, so reading it is great! And I can't wait to start on the next book. But if I finish too early, I won't have anything left to do and nothing to keep me smiling and dreaming, at least nothing to actually read and keep my mind off things.

I have been afraid to go to sleep lately, because I'm afraid of those horrid dreams I get occasionally about whatever guy I'm with. Like Bella, I wake up feeling sick, I'm surprised I don't scream at night. But ever since I started reading and find myself becoming more like Bella, and I look forward to my more frequent dreamless nights. I wake up, sure I had dreams, but I cannot remember a single thing I probably dreamt about, and it feels good. Of course I'd love to dream pleasant things about Jacob, mine or the Quileute it doesn't matter, as long as it leaves me feeling good and smiling when I wake up. As for now, I'm enjoying my dreamless nights. I know what Bloggingbrit feels like now. And just so you know Brit, take advantage of your dreamless nights because you never know when you will begin to dream those nightmares.

Bottom line... I can't wait for the new semester to start. It's a new start, in new classes, with new people. It all starts in January, like Bella's new start in Forks.

GOOOAAAALLLLL!!!!!!!!!

I scored my first goal tonight at my game!! It was exciting, it always is against this team. I got dog-piled on, trying to score in the second period. The other team had no goalie so they had a 6th player on the ice sorta acting like a goalie. The other guy also had my stick under his arm, holding me and I couldn't get free. The ref was yelling at the other guys to get the puck out because he was trying to cover it. Then he got a penalty for Delay of Game haha.

When I scored I was against the player-goalie, so it wasn't a real goal but it's in the records that I scored. At the end of the game, a goalie suddenly appeared in their end and I had a few scoring chances then. I had a lot during the game and everyone was trying to pass me the puck so I could score more. At least there is 1 for me in the records though. And it's funny because the pass I got it from, the assist, goes to my other half, my big brother, the next guy down. Bloggingbrit might be able to figure it out. He's the one I look up to so much. It's because of him that I am still playing hockey today. And what's funny, I scored from an assist from him, using his stick he gave to me. I had quite an audience too, my classmate, my co-worker and her son and mother, and my boyfriend, as well as our mutual friend and his wife, and I think he actually got my goal on video, because he was videoing his team (the one we were against) for lots of the game.

I also bought a necklace today that I have now deemed my lucky necklace. I don't really believe in luck, I think it's more of irony and coincidences that I believe in. It's a Twilight Saga: New Moon necklace from Nordstroms, made especially for "bp. at Nordstroms." I'm not entirely sure what "bp." stands for but whatever. It's Jacob's wolfpack tattoo medallion, with a few other charms, like a moon and a heart. But I wore it today and it was the best game I've played, aside from not being able to stop with my left foot (my dominant foot) because my skates were too sharp. Anyway, if you want to take a look or order it, here's a link.

My Twilight Jacket (Bella's Jacket)

I love my new jacket. The one I stayed up till 2 in the morning yesterday researching, I went out and surprisingly found it in large quantities (compared to my expectation of 0) in two stores at my mall!! I was so excited. One of the stores has some other things related to my jacket, will the other has other things but also related as well.
The BB Dakota Twilight Jacket is what I wanted and found. It's the jacket that Bella wore in the Twilight movie which I have become very intrigued with, the whole Twilight Saga. http://www.tillys.com/tillys/variants.aspx?prod=158810200&ctlg=020_Girls&cid=1066&source=1&size=

Here is it on me. It's definitely worth the $65 because it has fleece lining the inside of the canvas shell, and silk lining the sleeves. It's wonderfully warm and comfy.

Funniest-Commercial Commercial

It's funny this morning I noticed the commercial we have here for a show about the funniest commercials of the year. But while I have seen many of the previews for the commercials they were going to show, there was ONE commercial clip that I saw and I love that commercial, one of my favorites, yet I have never actually seen it on tv. Do you know why? Probably because it's a commercial made for the UK!! That Cadbury commercial haha. I tried to find the clip but it's not online, the clip of the commercial for the commercials that is. In fact when I first saw that clip I posted it on this blog, thanks to Bloggingbrit =]

Elf!! Pt. 2 haha

Ooh!! Ooh!! I forgot this funny part too. I'd really love to piss off those solicitors like that haha. Buddy the Elf is like my idol haha. Watch this...

Elf!!

All I want to do is watch Elf on USA but the WWE Live or whatever it is is on still!! This wrestling is so fake it's annoying to watch, they aren't even breaking a sweat... Oh good, that one guy just won so it should be over, but I will probably miss the first 5 minutes of Elf because this show went over its time slot so they will just skip ahead to the regularly scheduled program.

Oh yay, they aren't skipping ahead haha. So I'm not sure what to write but I couldn't stand looking at my last post because I miss the Matty Bear.

I got to chat to Bloggingbrit today which was very nice, he kept my mind occupied. He also told me about the winner of X Factor (American Idol basically in the US). When I watched the video of the kids winning song, the first thing I said was 'he's a cutie' haha. His name is Joe-somethingarather, I can't remember his last name. So now Bloggingbrit thinks I'm drooling over this guy because I looked him up on Wikipedia (even though I don't remember his name!!), and because I said he reminds me of Jacob Black from New Moon hehe. So then I ended up spending the rest of my time I had at home looking up pictures of Jacob Black. I'd love to live in the Twilight world, I think I'd rather deal with what Bella's going through than my own life. A little trade for a while might be fun. I'm going to say right now though that I'm for Team Jacob, though I can see why people are for Team Edward.

Enough of that. My toes are cold, I should probably get under some covers. I know everything is alright now between me and the boyfriend, but I'm still really shaken up, Bloggingbrit understands why a little bit. I'm hoping for no bad dreams tonight. I'd love to sleep like Bloggingbrit... dreamless.

Alright, Elf is finally on, and I'm changing to Christmas Vacation at 12:30. Hahaha wait, I gotta post this clip. It's one of the many funny moments in the movie, but this is definitely one I think everyone has dealt with when they were kids, or maybe even now!! Jack-In-The-Boxes...

I watched Top Gun...

Yesterday I spent the day at my boyfriend's apartment and Top Gun was on tv so he wanted to watch it. I hadn't really seen it before, but the second they showed the character "Iceman" I was like omg, that's Matty right there haha. You see, Matty is a friend of mine that I really do care a lot about. He's a Marine right now and I haven't gotten to see him in months. He sent me a picture the other day of him coming home from the desert with his unit and it made me miss him a lot. I was thinking about him while I was trying to nap on the couch yesterday while the boyfriend played Call of Duty when he (Matty) called me. I couldn't answer but It made me smile seeing him call.

Then when Top Gun came on, and I saw Iceman, I swear it's like a spitting image of Matty and I was like "awww" and I was looking at the young Tom Cruise and realized how much he looks and acts (in the movie) like my ex.

Anyway, the point is it made me miss Matty a lot. He is back home now, well, to the barracks at least, and I'd like to see him again sometime before he gets deployed in spring.

JG Chat

Alrighty, well this is my new post for the temporary one. Basically I was just so excited because Jonathan Goodwin sent me another message reminding me about his performance in L.A. next Thursday. This was his message...

Hey [DewTheZamboni],

just wanted to give you a shout out about the Dirty Secret Club on the 17th...will you be able to make it?

I have been given a discount code, which is "secretcode" which will give you $5 off if you book online.

There have been 2 new acts added to the bill, both of which are totally awesome, the Platt Bros, and Rob Zabrecky.

JG x

When I got that message I looked and Jonathan was actually still logged in so I opened up the chat box and let him know I wanted to go with my boyfriend but I had been scheduled to work. Here are some funny bits of the conversation...

I enjoyed the conversation haha. It was pretty amusing. And I thought I would share it with Bloggingbrit as well. =]

Coming to an end... School

I'm writing this post now for Bloggingbrit so he can stay updated on my life if he ever goes to the library again haha.

I'm working a lot these next few weeks. It's recommended that college students should not work more than 10 hours a week. Well for the next few weeks I'm working at least 20 hours per week. I wish I could give some of my hours to Bloggingbrit. Which reminds me I should wish him luck for any more interviews he may be having soon or any more applications he's putting in.

I worked closing tonight, and I get to open tomorrow morning but I only work till 4:30 so I have time to rest a little before my game that night.

My homework for the rest of the semester has been completed. It's not due until next Wednesday but I finished the last of it this morning so I feel good to have accomplished something important. I do still have to study for finals which are December 14th but the teachers haven't put out their study guides yet!! It's frustrating. I am in a get-a-head-start mode right now.

Monday after classes I plan to go to the boyfriends house and hopefully, though I'm not sure how I will be able to accomplish this, but spend the night. I don't have class the next morning but I have a study session for one of my classes in the afternoon so I might as well stay down there because it saves a trip haha. At least that is what I'm going to try to use to persuade my parents.

I've been trying to invite people to more of my games, but no one wants to go, or they have work, or a concert, or just don't want to go. It's sort of depressing. I play better knowing I have to impress people. But after all the confusion and frustration of too many Marines I asked my 3rd favorite Marine of all time to put me on the 3rd line, because I don't want to play on the same line with the usual other Marine that my 3rd favorite pairs me with, understand? No? Well it's long and complicated so I won't go into it.

With all that being said, I think Bloggingbrit has enough to read to know how my life is going for this weekend. Sleep tight =]

Sorted Out

Whoa crazy!! I checked on the blog to see if Bloggingbrit had posted anything new and I noticed I was signed in with my new gmail account (thanks to Bloggingbrit) instead of my usual msn email account, but I didn't change it!! This whole thing seems a little sketchy to me haha.

Anyway that's not why I wanted to post. I got my life a little more worked out now, and just going to be spending my time waiting around hoping Bloggingbrit will be on soon so I can ask how work and the work-hunt is going, thought it might be a little more difficult now because he is finally internet-less after all these weeks. Which means I don't know the next time I will talk to him. Hopefully he still is able to check our blog if not sign onto our usual messenger.

Classes end the end of next week, and then I only have 2 finals to take this semester and they are consecutive on the first morning of Finals Week. This was a fast semester or so it seems, then I get I think about 4 weeks off before the Spring 2010 semester starts.

Tomorrow marks 2 months since my Marine asked me to be his girlfriend and I'm pleased to say I'll be his girlfriend tomorrow still, but I'm not going to get to see him again until next Monday after my last class of the day because he's got to teach a bunch of guys and train them and work in the field with them. He does get to go home but he has to get up at 4:30am and has to stay till 9:00pm every night.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is on TV again tonight, twice in a row so I'm watching it again. I probably will end up seeing all 10 viewings of it, twice a night for 5 nights. Unless there is something else on that I really want to watch that hasn't been on in a while. Anyway, I'm going to close up my laptop for the night I think and cozy up in bed. Hope to hear from Bloggingbrit soon even if it's just a post on this blog we got going on here =]
