Tory's Lego Ball

I was watching the new YouTube Special of Mythbusters on the Discovery Channel (what else is new? I always watch the Discovery Channel) and Kari, Grant, and Tory tested the 7ft diameter Lego ball. Here is a brief clip, but the best part is at the end when it just... well, I don't want to ruin it, it looks like some sort of candy with a soft center though =)

It's exactly 2 weeks since my last post... must try harder!

I made my first profit on eBay yesterday. I sold a car maintenance manual for a car I no longer own. I say 'first profit' rather than 'first sale', because I sold a book several years ago for about 50 pence, but I didn't work out the postage price correctly, so I ended up losing money to send it! D'Oh!

I have tons of rubbish to sell, but I have to try to be clever about it and work out what will and wont sell and how to describe what I'm selling, and when to sell it, and what it will cost to sell and, of course, the postage cost!

Hmmm! It appears that PayPal has forgotten my bank details as it's been so long since I've used their service. I have set up and verify my bank again. That's not a problem as the verifying process involves PayPal putting money in my bank account, and me telling them how much money it was. Yay! Free money! :P

Fan before I knew it

I was watching TV when this really old movie came on that I used to watch all the time when I was little, A Kid in King Arther's Court. I was then looking at the cast to see who was in it (that when I used to watch it when I was little I didn't know who they were) when I discovered Daniel Craig was in it...

I was like "say WHAT?!" and thought 'now I have to watch it!!"

Visor

I'm off to hockey practice again. I managed to get the proper wrist/slash guards on the way home, Nick is way too good to me. He also ordered me a tinted visor, if you don't know what that is, it's this (the eye shield):

Yes, that means I have to wear a mouth guard now, but the visor is awesome. I can wipe the sweat off my face and I don't have to squirt water through a cage!! It will be in on Tuesday, Nick said he'd call me to remind me. I got a $56 visor for $45. Nick really is truly too good to me. But I can't complain =D

Might I start out by saying Happy Easter. Okay, I told Bloggingbrit today that I would take a few pictures for him. I ate so much food today, wow.


My sister thought I was drinking beer. It was ginger ale. My mom made me bring my Easter Basket to my aunt's house. I think I need to remind her maybe about how old I am. I got a lot of chocolate though.


Behind me where I was sitting was more food. It's unfortunate that you can't see the neon blue cookies that my mom brought, they are behind the chair there in front.

That's where I was sitting. Bloggingbrit should have joined me. I asked him to!! It would have been a long trip though. I told him I had an empty seat next to me.

I took this picture out the window of my uncle's truck Saturday night when we were driving to dinner. I didn't think it'd turn out very well, but it looks sort of nice, considering it came from my 3 mega pixel cellphone.

I couldn't help it. I had a doctor's appointment last Tuesday and you know how they have that sanitary paper on the exam table things in each exam room? This was what was being advertised on my particular table. I got a funny look from my mom who was in the room with me when I whipped out my phone and held it behind me and took this picture.

Workaholic

It's been just over a week since my last blog post and, as DewTheZamboni will testify, that is just too long!

So, what's my excuse? Well, I've been extremely busy at work and simply too tired/lazy by the time I've gotten home. I worked 6 days last week (which unusual in a 5 day week) and I only took one lunch break in all that time. Three of those days I worked a 12 hour shift (again, not the sort of thing you should do in a 9 hour day), and do I get paid overtime for all this extra work... do I heck!

I was recently given a temporary 'award' for my flexible attitude towards work when I covered a shift for a colleague who was off sick during my own holidays. I say temporary because I had to give it back last week and it was given to someone else for their gallant efforts. I had hidden the thing in my draw during the time it was 'mine' because I never like to draw attention to myself. It is for that reason that I was horrified when I opened up the quarterly staff magazine today to find my photo inside, clutching my so-called 'prize'. That's right, QUARTERLY magazine! I'm going to be highly visible for a whole three months before it gets to be the turn of some other unfortunate soul who was just trying to do his or her job well!

Anyway, I'd like to say the worst is over in terms of my busy work load, but that simply isn't true. There are some big changes happening this year, and my particular department (comprising of two people) is impacted by all of them! I'm in the strange position of being completely indispensable, which is a nice feeling during a time of a global economic crisis. Maybe I should ask for a pay rise! :)

I made it 3 for 4

I was watching the game I went to last night. It was recorded on the DVR, and I realized that while I was taking all those pictures during warm-ups, I managed to get on TV.

Bloggingbrit needs to look at my pictures, the one with Kopitar being interviewed with a big bright light. Well on TV, when the interview aired, I noticed myself and my dad in the background, right next to Kopitar!! So that makes me 3 for 4 on making it big with the Kings.

My new shirt

I just want to blog quickly before we go to the pool. I was in the gift shop and I bought a t-shirt/hat combo, I only wanted the t-shirt though. Bloggingbrit will like this =) It is a white shirt, but it just looks blue. My sister got the same one. But I claimed Roy. And it's the same year i was born!! Woo hoo!!

Alone in the room

I know, it's stupid. But there is honestly nothing to do for people under 21 years of age. All I wanted was for my mom to buy me a margarita flavored slushie, but all because she stubbs her toe on my shoe, and blames me for it (I was waiting for her and she walked into me) she is in a pissy mood.

I shouldn't have come, it's been nothing but complaints about me. I pick out all my clothes that I want to pack, and my mom puts them all back and picks out what she wants me to wear. I didn't pick out anything outrageous, but she thinks I'm like some preppy little cheerleader and won't let me be how I want to be.

It's really irritating. I'd rather spend my break at home doing homework.

I miss Bloggingbrit. I need him with me now. A single bed for two, and yet we end up on the floor, all because I push him off. I'd let him pull me down with him anywhere at this point. I miss him and I can't wait till I get home.

Home and sleep

Yes, it's a little after 1am here. I just got home from my game and the practice. It was awesome. I just wanted to put in a quick little post before I leave for Vegas. I might not have Internet in the hotel room for my laptop. Bloggingbrit knows I always have my phone on for him though =)

And guess what number I got. No, not 27, but go on, take a guess. I'm not going to tell you until u give me a guess. I'll give you a hint though: it's between 30 and 45. And I really don't mind this number at all. Some people I know would be jealous I have it.

I'm sorry, Bloggingbrit, but you don't get 5 guesses because there aren't 52 stinkin numbers to choose from (unlike your cards), so you get 3 guesses. If you guess right on the first pick, you win something... I'm not sure what you win yet, but it will be good.

Off to bed now. We lost by the way, Kings 2 Dallas 3. But my Jack (I call him Jackie or Jack-Jack) scored, and so did Kopitar, but I was changing during that second goal, so I just heard the siren. Anyway, now I'm off to bed as it's 1:30am now. I'll try to post while I'm away, or email Bloggingbrit my post so he can post it and Label it as me
